Day 2:    Parading around on Broadway

Main Page > Bone Alone Tours > 2002 No Thanks Giving Tour >

Waking up with a throbbing headache after a very late, Mike-less, Evening,  Bone stumbled down from his Hotel to Broadway for a Starbuck’s and the unparalleled opportunity to watch of the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade !!

Bone and Charlie!

Grabbing a Venti @ Starbucks, Bone was able to procure a spot at Broadway and 57th Street in the Heart of Midtown to observe and enjoy the Parade.

The Parade from Bone's Hotel Room

After an hour in the Bone-Chilling (pun intended) cold, Bone realized that he had a superior view of the Parade from the 35 Floor of his Hotel Room.

Next Stop: Massachusetts !!!

By 11:00 AM the Parade was winding down and Bone decided it was time to head up towards Boston, unfortunately so did the rest of Manhattan (or so it seemed). Fighting the Traffic it took Bone 3 hours to get to Connecticut, which normally is only a 45 minute drive.

Givin' Thanks:  Getting stoned at Plymouth Rock

Where is there a better place to eat a Turkey dinner than Plymouth Massachusetts!! So after a 4 hour drive from Manhattan, Bone found himself at Plymouth Rock at dinner time. Finding dining options limited at dinnertime in Plymouth Massachusetts on Thanksgiving Day, Bone found himself eating a frozen Turkey dinner at the Bar of a Fishing Restaurant in the parking lot of the Plymouth Rock. Finding it crowded with European Tourist gave the whole scenario and even more unrealistic aura.

Thank Cod for the Guinness and the Bushmill's !!

After the “sumptuous” meal, Bone headed to Province Town on Cape Cod to find the only non-gay Irish Pub on the Cape.  After finding that pub, Bone spent the remainder of the evening giving thanks to the day, the Cape, and to Guinness and Bushmills to 3:00 AM.
